The ף represents the quantity "half," see Nos. 425-426. The editor suggests the ג is an abbreviation for גרב, an Aramaic word meaning "jar" that can also be taken as a measure for wine or oil. It is translated to the Hebrew words נבל and נאד in the Targum.
