Transcription Ὃν χρόνος ἠμάλδθνεν
ἑλισσόμενος κατὰ κύκλον
στῆσεν Ἀναστάσιος,
βασιλεὺς μεγαλώνυμος ἥρως,
σπουδῇ Ἀλεξάνδροιο,
περίφρονος ἡγεμονῆος,
Καισαρίης ναετῆρος,
ὃς ἔλλαχεν ἥνια Νύσης. |
Translation (This place) which Time crushed, revolving in its cycle, raised Anastasius, king-hero with a great name, under the care of Alexander, the thoughtful governor, dweller of Caesarea, who obtained the reins of Nysa. |
