Notes
Memorial inscription for a priest of black letters set in a background of a white octagon which is set in a square. The diagonal faces of the octagon are extended with patterned mosaic to form the square. Opening formula is typical. The word Κύριε (lord) is abbreviated and has a horizontal line above the shortened form. The letters of the last line of the inscription are shorter than the letters from the other lines; and the final word of the line, "priest" is abbreviated to just the first letter. Name is Greek. One of 18 mixed funerary and dedicatory inscriptions in the church's early stratum.
